Meet the Founder
Luna White Horse, the founder of Arcana Apothecary, is a passionate advocate for natural health and sacred medicines.
Luna's wellness journey started when she was just 13 years old, as she began her herbalism and spiritual studies under the tutelage of her father, Taita Carlos Benitez-Guzman, a shaman of the Arawak Nation and a Santero Priest. Luna's mother Helene is also a huge proponent of her journey, always ensuring her daughter had access to and an understanding of homeopathic and alternative medicines. Luna's grandmother Patricia imparted a deep appreciation for the healing properties of teas and tisanes, as a daily tea drinker herself, leading by profound example as she approached her 90's with an able body and sharp mind.

Coming from a long line of healers and wisdom keepers, Luna's mission is to maintain the ancient practices and culture of her heritage through the medicine she shares and the compassion she extends to all living beings. Inspired by the words of her elder, "You are the light others have been waiting for," Luna has always done her best to work in service to the collective with great reverence for the sacred medicines she crafts.
In 2024, Luna co-founded The Goddess Collective, a conscious community organization which offers monthly women's circles and events intended to provide spiritual support, connection and healing to the feminine community. The events are complimented by teas offered by Arcana Apothecary, and offer a safe, nurturing space for women to focus on their mental, physical, spiritual and emotional well-being.
